Northwest Center values your donation and appreciates your continued support. Your donations are our lifeblood and help us continue to offer local programs to children and adults with disabilities.

When preparing a donation, please help us be as efficient as possible by using the following list of items we can and cannot accept.

Acceptable Donations

• Clothing—all sizes and styles for children, men and women
• Clothing accessories
• Shoes, boots, gloves, belts, purses
• Backpacks, tents, camping gear
• Bedding, curtains, drapes, linens
• Fabric, patterns, arts and crafts, yarn
• Household items—small appliances, blenders, toasters, dishes, glassware
• Books—hardbacks, paperbacks
• Cameras, projectors
• CD players, DVD players, radios, VCRs,
• Jewelry and eyeglasses
• Paintings and wall hangings
• Records, tapes, CDs
• Toys, skates, games, bikes, trikes
• School supplies, stationery, photo albums
• Small Furniture—small chairs, nightstands, end tables, small bookshelves (must be under 50 lbs. and in good condition)
  

Unacceptable Donations

Unfortuntely, there are certain items we are unable to take for reasons of liability, health issues or disposal costs. Please remember that we can only accept re-usable and re-sellable items.

• Automotive—auto parts, tires, and batteries
• Baby equipment/furniture—car seats, car carriers, play pens, strollers
• Building supplies—ladders, lumber, paint, lighting, wheelbarrows
• Broken, stained, non-working items
• Clothes hangers
• Computer equipment*—computers, CPU's, monitors, printers, towers
• Exercise equipment*—stationary bikes, treadmills, universal sets, weights
• Furniture—drivers do not pick up large furniture (couches, beds, tables); deliver to nearest Value Village store
• Hazardous materials*
• Large appliances*—washers, dryers, refrigerators
• Mattresses or box springs
• Food items (contact Northwest Harvest at 1-800-722-6924)
• Pet related items—dog houses
• Paper products—magazines, newspapers, textbooks
  Note: Personal paper shredding is available through American Data Guard, a Northwest Center Enterprise, at 206-285-5955.
• TV's*—televisions, including big screen or console type

Nonprofits incur significant expenses when recycling and disposing of non-working electronic products left as donations. These expenses divert funds away from programs, so please don’t leave electronic products at any location after hours. This constitutes illegal dumping.
