Tracy at Sign To Me

Sign 2 Me

As part of our Customized Employment Training Program, clients are provided Employment Readiness Training at one of our many Northwest Center owned and operated businesses. Tracy previously worked in our Assembly & Packaging facility, located at our South Park campus as part of her Employment Readiness training. While employed in the warehouse, Tracy learned many skills that eventually lead to a successful job placement within the community.

Tracy has recently landed a job with Sign 2 Me, a company that manufactures and supplies educational tools centered on teaching infants and children American Sign Language. Her tasks include: assembling books and DVDs, organizing flash cards and packaging all of the products - prepping them for final shipment and order fulfillment. Tracy says she loves her new job and appreciates the varied tasks she performs - there is never a dull moment!
The Job Readiness Program provided Tracy with the skills necessary to obtain this position with Sign 2 Me. She was already very familiar with the Shrink Wrapping and Blister Packing machines that she uses on a daily basis. Her previous employment experience at Northwest Center allowed Tracy to understand the expectations her employers had of her.

Now, six months into her new job, Tracy has become a highly valued member of the Sign 2 Me team. Founder & CEO, Bob Tarcea says, “Like ripples radiating in a pond, drop someone into the right opportunity and the impact reaches far and touches many! Northwest Center staff works hard and teams up with employers, to provide exactly those opportunities.”

Tracy’s positive attitude, punctuality, high productivity and enthusiasm are traits that any employer would welcome. When people are provided with the right tools to succeed, the results are incredible. We’ve repositioned our business model to focus on the people whom we serve and to capitalize on the strengths inherent to us all. Everyone has something to offer, and when the focus is placed on ability and training, the sky is the limit.
