Northwest Center Kids Family Resources
When our programs closed due to COVID-19, Northwest Center Kids team members created these videos to stay connected to the children and families they serve, and to teach an assortment of skills including new vocabulary, alliteration, rhyming, print concepts, fine motor skills, shapes, large muscle movements, relaxation techniques, and a love and appreciation of reading. Video topics also include things kids can do when they miss their friends, and why we had to stay home from school. But there’s one lesson that every one of our educators wanted these videos to teach the children from their classes and caseloads: We can still be connected, even when we’re apart. These videos are our way of telling the children, “We are still here for you!”
