I joined the Northwest Center board because inclusion isn’t an abstract concept for me—I have a family member impacted by disability, and I’ve seen firsthand how the right support and environment can change the trajectory of someone’s life. As a fully abled person, I believe I have a responsibility to use my seat at the table to advocate for a world that works better for everyone. Northwest Center embodies that mission in a way few organizations can match.

What sets Northwest Center apart is that it practices what it preaches—it runs social enterprises in printing, janitorial, and logistics that employ people with and without disabilities side by side, with revenue funding the mission. This isn’t charity at arm’s length; it’s living proof that when people of all abilities learn and work together, everyone benefits. I wanted to lend my time and voice to an organization with that kind of track record, integrity, and personal resonance.
