Barkum Ballard was born and raised in Sacramento, and attended school there and in Arizona. His experience includes working with people with disabilities and working with children in need. A former professional athlete with the San Francisco 49ers, Barkum stays active in sports including football, basketball, baseball, and swimming. He has lived in Seattle since 2009.
