Katie Merisko, MA, CCC-SLP

Speech-Language Pathologist

Katie earned her Master of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology at California State University, Long Beach. Originally from California, she moved to Seattle in 2012 with her husband to work as a speech therapist at Northwest Center. She took time off work when her two daughters were born, which gave her invaluable insight into the challenges and joy involved with being a parent. She is happy to be back on the Kids ES team and is enthusiastic about serving birth-to-3 families again.

Katie is passionate about inclusion for all with a family- and community-centered approach to therapy. She is trained in Play Therapy, Hanen: It Takes Two to Talk, Vision and Processing Therapy, Fetal Alcohol Syndrome Assessment and Treatment, Oral Motor/Feeding, Tube Feeding with Love, Applied Behavioral Analysis, Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS), and Coordinating Support for Child & Family Well-Being.

In her free time, Katie enjoys traveling, sewing, and a variety of DIY projects including the restoration of a 1950s cabin on Whidbey Island.
