Myla started at Northwest Center Kids as a Pre-K Lead Teacher in 2011. She was promoted to Assistant Director in May 2018. In June 2022, she was promoted to Early Learning Director at Chinook.
Myla grew up in Manila, Philippines, where she was co-owner of and a teacher at an inclusive preschool and tutorial program. She moved to the U.S. in 2006.
Myla holds a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design from De La Salle University – CSB in Manila. She earned her master’s degree in Special Education, Certificate in Teaching Program, and Certificate in Preschool Specialization from Philippine Normal University. Her passion is working with children of all abilities and serving families in early childhood learning. She has more than 15 years of experience working in childcare centers as both a teacher and administrator.
Myla enjoys running, painting, baking, watching plays, being creative, visiting museums, and trying different foods. She also loves to travel with her family and learn about other cultures.
